One of the fastest hundreds by an Englishman shall surely be the 52-ball one. Buttler remained unbeaten up to 116, blasting eight sixes and ten fours, exhibiting beautiful rhythm and placement. Since that moment, the entire stadium became a grand-safe display of fearless batting by Buttler.

Jesse Ryder (46 balls):

January 1st, 2014, will mark the date that Jesse Ryder became famous for destroying Queenstown. The 46-ball hundred was against the West Indies, and Jesse struck 12 fours and five sixes. 104 runs will be immortalised for all time.

Brian Lara (45 balls):

Then, in Dhaka, Bangladesh, on 09 October 1999, West Indies batsman Brian Lara showed his talent with a terrific performance against Bangladesh. A spectacular innings, which gave Lara one of the fastest-classified centuries in 50-over format games with a score of 45 balls. Lara ended that night with an astonishing 117.

Mark Boucher (44 balls):

While playing for South Africa against Zimbabwe, Mark Boucher had established himself as one of the best keepers in the game. It was just the start of a remarkable innings at Potchefstroom in September 2006. Boucher made it to a hundred from 44 balls, one of the fastest I had ever seen at the time, bludgeoning 10 sixes and 8 massive fours, and the crowd never sat down for the whole inning! It went on and wrapped up on 147 not out.

Asif Khan (41 balls):

Asif Khan played a sensational knock for the UAE against Nepal in Kirtipur that cricket lovers will cherish for an eternity. Perhaps the fastest and most surreal knock ever witnessed, with Asif’s hundred coming off merely 41 balls! He hit eleven sixes and four fours so pleasingly, not only igniting a party in the stadium, but igniting a party for his opposition, and their enthusiastic fans in Kirtipur. Asif had a fairytale from absolutely nowhere, and every bit of it was riveting.

Glenn Maxwell (40 balls):

Glenn Maxwell, one of the biggest names in the Australian Cricket team, scored his highest century in 2023 while playing against the Netherlands team. He scored an undefeated 106 runs off 44 balls in the 24th match of the ICC World Cup. He became one of the prominent players to score the fastest century in ODI.

Shahid Afridi (37 balls and 45 balls):

Shahid Afridi came in third position in scoring the fastest century in the One Day Internationals. He achieved the double century. In the ODI match against Sri Lanka held in 1996, he scored 100 off 37 balls. Secondly, he scored 102 off 45 balls in the competition against India held in 2005. This match took place in Kanpur on April 15, 2005.

Corey Anderson (36 balls):

Corey Anderson, one of the key players of the New Zealand national cricket team, secured a second position in the fastest century table. He scored 131 off 47 at the Queenstown Events Centre held on 1st January, 2014. He had a phenomenal innings with 6 fours and 14 sixes in the match.

AB de Villiers currently hold the record for the ODI Fastest Century. Scoring 149 off 44 balls against the West Indies team. The second ODI match in the series between South Africa and the West Indies took place at the Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg. South Africa, led by one of the greatest innings of all time by AB de Villiers, managed to put together a record score of 439 in 50 overs. He hit sixteen 6s!

Fastest Double Century in ODI

Ishan Kishan sits at the top of the leaderboard of Fastest Double Century in ODI. In 2022 , he scored 210 runs in 126 balls, breaking the record that was previously held by Chris Gayle who scored 210 off 138 balls. However , Shubhman Gill, is the youngest player to make the record of the fastest double century in 50 over format game at the age of 23 years.
